Scheduler Transdev inLas Vegas, Nevadais hiring aScheduler. The Scheduleris responsible forensuring the highest level ofmanpowerefficiency through effective scheduling of time off and management of work hours in a unionized environment. This position has a major impact on operating costs for the largest work group in the company (bus operators), including efficient scheduling of work time, management of time off andfillingruns, coordinating absence reasons with other departments. The Scheduler oversees all technical aspects related to the scheduling computer program and software whichincludesprogramming errors or enhancements that may arise, as well as any debugging that needs to take place. This position is also fully cross functional as aSupervisor. The aboverepresentsthe standard Corporate Policy.   KeyResponsibilites: + Responsible for daily and weekly scheduling of operators to include theextra-boardto ensure cost efficiencies while meeting service demands and union contractual requirements. + Required tomaintainthe scheduling databases to ensureaccurateinformation ismaintained; to include the administration of operator time off and bidding process. + Works closely with and in support of bus operators, transit supervisors, and other departments to ensure quality customer service delivery. + Coordinates departmental and company goals andobjectiveswith various departments to include Senior Operations Supervisors, Human Resources, Safety & Training, and Maintenance. + Assistswith establishing procedures and standards for efficient and effective transit operations, enforces applicable laws,rulesand regulations as they pertain to the position. + Other related duties as assigned Qualifications + High School diploma or GEDrequired. + Sound understanding of run timemethodologyand route scheduling techniquesrequired. + Must be detail oriented and computer literate with experience inoperatingadata base, word-processing software, and spreadsheet software. + Must have the ability to work with time constraints and deal with multiple tasks simultaneously. + Must have knowledge of or the ability to learn Transdev's operating rules, procedures, routes,schedulesand fare structure. + Basic math skillsrequired. + Excellent proofreading, research, communication,organizationand interpersonal skillsrequired. + Transit Operational experienceessential.
