SCHEDULER – Full Time

Location:          Norristown, PA

Status:               Full Time

Shift:                  Mon – Fri 8 am to 430 pm, no nights, weekends or holidays

Position Purpose:

This primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and schedule external appointments for participants according to participant needs and care plan designed by the interdisciplinary team.  Will work closely with the transportation department, participants, caregivers, and center staff.  

Position Details:

Hours will be worked exclusively at the facility site.

What you will do:

Coordinates and schedules appointments for medical appointments and home care assignments for participants.

Works closely with the transportation department, participants, caregivers, and center staff regarding participant schedule.

Maintains complete and accurate participant schedules, including the amount, frequency, and duration of service that has been identified in the plan of care.

Notifies the appropriate manager when requests for scheduling changes are received that require a physician's order.

Records all scheduling changes, updates, and deletions on the schedule daily.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

1 year scheduling experience.

1 year experience with a frail or elderly population, or appropriate training upon hiring.

Associate degree preferred.

Previous medical scheduling experience strongly preferred.

One year of customer service experience serving as the first point of contact via email/phone/in person strongly preferred.

Strong customer service, organizational and conflict management skills

Excellent written and verbal communications skills and flexibility to adapt to ongoing change and changing priorities.

Proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.); basic knowledge and experience with electronic mail and calendaring system.

Ability to use other software as required to perform the essential functions of the job.

Position may require 10% of travel within the Centers geographic region.
