Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scheduler to assist with scheduling surgeries and managing prior authorizations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating surgical appointments, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements, and providing exceptional support to patients and medical staff.

Required:
High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in scheduling or healthcare administration is highly desirableKnowledge of pediatric neurology and cardiology is a plusKnowledge of pediatric Urology and cardiology is a plusStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in using electronic health record systems and scheduling softwareAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyPreferred:

Shift- 8:00am-4:00pmPer Diem/ As NeededEssential Functions:
Coordinate and schedule pediatric neurology and cardiology surgeries in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other departmentsMaintain an organized surgical calendar, ensuring optimal use of operating room time and resourcesCommunicate surgery dates and preparation instructions to patients and their familiesAssist in obtaining prior authorizations from insurance companies for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted accurately and timelyFollow up on pending authorizations and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may ariseServe as the primary point of contact for patients regarding scheduling inquiries, changes, and pre-operative instructionsProvide support and guidance to patients and families throughout the scheduling process, addressing any concerns or questions they may haveMaintain accurate records of surgery schedules, prior authorizations, and patient information in the electronic health record systemPrepare and submit reports related to surgical scheduling and authorizations as requiredWork closely with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to ensure seamless patient care and effective communicationParticipate in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvement initiativesOther Duties:
