What role you will play in our team
We are seeking an experienced Planning & Scheduling Engineer with 3-15 years of expertise to join our dynamic global team. As a Planning and Scheduling Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. Your role will involve close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align project timelines with overall objectives.
What you will do
Schedule Development & Maintenance:
Develop comprehensive project schedules, including all project phases. Update and maintain schedules to reflect current project status. Facilitate and drive work planning efforts, including Interactive Planning (IAP) and Owners Integrated Schedule (OIS) workshops and development Review and, where appropriate, endorse schedule and progress baselines and forecast prepared by Contractor Ensure that EPC contractor schedule reflects / aligns with external schedule requirements and interfaces such as permitting and regulatory
Progress Tracking & Monitoring:
Identify and address any deviations from the schedule. Provide overall project schedule, progress measurement, and change management expertise and stewardship Identify and drive optimizations in planning and execution of projects Ensure that EPC contractor scheduling practices and progress measurement system comply with project coordination procedures
Forecasting:
Develop and update project forecasts to predict future performance and resource needs. Analyze trends and data to provide accurate forecasts for project timelines and resources.
Risk Management:
Identify potential scheduling risks and develop mitigation plans. Implement strategies to minimize the impact of risks on project timelines. Develop and review schedule corrective actions and recovery plans, and verify needed actions/plans are implemented
Performance Reporting:
Generate regular reports on schedule performance and key milestones. Provide updates to project stakeholders on schedule status.
Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain clear communication with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Address any scheduling concerns and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Contractor Oversight & Coordination:
Work closely with contractors to ensure their schedules align with overall project timelines. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with contractors to address any scheduling issues. Review project changes to evaluate detail schedule impact; review and endorse changes with regards to schedule and progress impact
These primary job functions are essential for ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Your expertise in planning, scheduling, forecasting, and working with contractors will be critical in managing complex projects and driving efficient project delivery.
About You
Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills:
3 – 15 years of prior experience; energy experience is preferred Bachelor’s degree in engineering Minimum 3 years’ experience in planning/scheduling Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6). Strong understanding of schedule control and forecasting techniques. Expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies. Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements in the energy sector.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills to address project challenges. Proficiency in performance reporting and metrics analysis.
Behavioral Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in developing and maintaining project schedules. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Flexible to travel to project sites if needed Geographically mobile & willing to travel and relocate globally
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with GPA 3.5 or above Demonstrated work experience in oil/gas, client organizations, and mega projects Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, MBA) Proficiency in Milestone Professional Demonstrated success in managing projects from early to late stages of varying sizes Knowledge of schedule and risk analysis tools like Acumen Fuse and PERT master Your benefits
