Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description
The role involves managing hardcopy document collections stored within the records area, including Equipment History Files, Validation, Batch Records, Production Logs, and APRRs. Responsibilities include using the Preserve computer application and developing an understanding of the Enterprise Record Retention Schedule. The technician will also handle customer service desk tasks during operational hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and organize hardcopy document collections within records area, including Equipment History Files, Validation, Batch Records, Production Logs, and APRRs.
+ Assist customers from various groups in accessing records, ensuring documents remain within the records area.
+ Facilitate document review, note-taking, and copying for customers.
+ Re-file documents after customer use and enter new records into the system.
+ Conduct a yearly purge of outdated documents, preparing them for transfer to a third-party document warehouse.
+ Rotate between front desk duties and record inputting and filing.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in science, cataloging, library management, and record-keeping.
+ Familiarity with Excel.
+ Understanding of Enterprise Record Retention Schedules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ An AS or BS degree in Life Science is preferred.
+ Experience working in a library setting is desirable but not required.
Work Environment
The office is set up like a library with a front desk and numerous shelves for different records. Each team member has a cubicle, and the team consists of four individuals. The records area operates from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a rotation system for front desk and record-keeping duties.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
