SCAN COORDINATOR


Main responsibilities:

Ensure accurate pricing, itemization, tagging, signing, and documentation of UPC/PLU codes for all store merchandise. Operate computer systems and maintain computerized records. Hang signs and tags for advertised specials and price changes. Conduct scan audits and replace missing or damaged tags. Manage in-store markdown links and verify all tags and signs. Monitor pricing integrity and maintain price accuracy guarantee signage. Maintain tag subscription and batches (e.g., Just 4 You). Train employees on store policies, sales, and record-keeping procedures. Implement emergency procedures for equipment and software malfunctions. Ensure compliance with retail labeling laws, federal/state regulations, and company policies.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Soft skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional demeanor with customers and co-workers. Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Competencies:

Attention to detail and accuracy. Organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to train and mentor others.

Knowledge:

Basic mathematics and weights/measures. Product variety, perishability, and handling standards. Store layout and stocking procedures. Company policies and compliance standards.

Abilities:

Lift and maneuver items up to 60 lbs. Perform repetitive arm movements and stand for long periods. Operate scanning devices, printers, and computer software. Maintain mental alertness for safe and accurate work.

Educational requirements:

Travel requirements:

Occasional travel, including overnight travel, may be required.

Other requirements:

Pay transparency language:

The pay range is $19.63 to $19.63 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
