Job Title: Clerical Position (US)Job Description
This clerical position involves handling daily office tasks, such as weighing trucks, grading grain, operating computer systems, data entry, answering phones, and filing. The role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude. Responsibilities also include retaining documents and maintaining a clean and neat workspace.
Responsibilities
+ Pull vendor information in the system and receive scale tickets.
+ Verify information, weights, and trailer numbers for accuracy.
+ Perform documentation on the management system using Windows, including drop-down selections and double-clicking correct shipper names and weights.
+ Conduct additional data entry or labor work as needed.
+ Complete tedious paperwork for trucks entering and exiting, ensuring ticket numbers are checked multiple times.
+ Add hauler, vendor, and ticket numbers, then reverify and submit the information.
+ Provide excellent customer service to truck drivers, maintaining composure even when drivers are tired or cranky.
+ Step outside the plant to verify trucks if required.
+ Manage up to 50 truck checks during an 8-hour shift.
+ Answer phones, file documents, and maintain a clean workspace.
Essential Skills
+ Experience working within a clerical setting, preferably in an industrial environment.
+ Ability to work independently while being flexible enough to function in a team setting.
+ Proficiency in computer skills, with experience in data entry using WMS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
+ Previous experience with office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.
+ Basic math skills to detect errors with truck weights.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in dispatching is preferred.
+ Prior experience working in an industrial environment.
Work Environment
The role is based in a scale office where you will work independently, although other colleagues will be present on the same shift. The environment is somewhat temperature-controlled but can be cold due to proximity to the outdoors with truck check-in windows. The overall setting is dirty and dusty, with a small office designated for check-ins.

This is a Contract position based out of Memphis, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
