**Position:** Scale Clerk **Location:** Batesville, AR **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 6:30 A.M.- 4:00 P.M **Pay Range:** $17.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience We are currently hiring a **Scale Clerk** to join our team at the **Batesville Transfer Station** . This role is essential to the daily operations of the facility, ensuring accurate weight tracking, safe practices, and excellent customer service. **Duties &** **Responsibilities** **:** + Greet and direct all customers andcontractorsupon entry to the transfer station + Weigh trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers + Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures + Ensure that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material + Perform full clerical and general office duties + Assist with office duties, filing and paperwork as needed + Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) + Provide general upkeep of the Scale House + Generate regular reports summarizing transaction data, weights, and other relevant information + Provide reports to management as required **Requirements:** + Proficient in operatingcomputer systemsand Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, andExcel) + ADEQ Journeyman or Masters certification preferred, if not, must be willing to get certification + Strong attention to detail and accuracy + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Knowledge of safetyandenvironmental regulationsis a plus **Why Join Waste Connections?** + Medical, dental, and vision insurance + 401(k) dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% + Consistent, year-round employment _Waste_ _Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
