Position: Scale Clerk
Location: Bossier City Transfer Station
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

We are currently hiring a Scale Clerk to join our team at the Bossier City Transfer Station. This role is essential to the daily operations of the facility, ensuring accurate weight tracking, safe practices, and excellent customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Greet and direct all customers and contractors upon entry to the transfer stationWeigh trucks in and out and calculating payments for customersTrack weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signaturesEnsure that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate materialPerform full clerical and general office dutiesAssist with office duties, filing and paperwork as neededEnsure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Provide general upkeep of the Scale HouseGenerate regular reports summarizing transaction data, weights, and other relevant informationProvide reports to management as required

Requirements:

Proficient in operating computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)Strong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of safety and environmental regulations is a plus
