**Job Title: Scaffold Builder Helper**
**Job Description**
As a Scaffold Builder Helper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of construction sites. Your main responsibilities include cleaning and preparing work sites, loading and unloading materials and equipment, constructing and dismantling scaffolding and temporary structures, operating machinery and heavy equipment, following instructions from supervisors, and assisting skilled tradespeople.
**Responsibilities**
+ Clean and prepare work sites.
+ Load and unload materials and equipment.
+ Construct and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures.
+ Operate and tend to machinery and heavy equipment.
+ Follow instructions from supervisors and implement construction plans.
+ Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties.
**Essential Skills**
+ General labor experience.
+ Proficiency with hand tools.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
+ Assist with handing up hand tools.

**Work Environment**
Work primarily in shipyards, utilizing hand tools and equipment to support construction activities.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
