Job Summary:

The position is the global product manager for the SCADAvantage product family responsible for evaluating the market requirements, guiding new feature development, support product lifecycles, managing product cyber security and intellectual property strategy, and supporting sales, product marketing, operations and technical support.  In addition, they are responsible for supervising the Level 3 support team and supporting the R&D project manager to manage the product lifecycle within the product budget.

Main Accountability

• Leads the market intelligence analysis to identify potential gaps in the portfolio, with respect to the competition and markets.

• Owns the technical and market specification for the offering and determines an offering business plan that supports sustainable growth.

• Leads the lifecycle management process, analyzes current offering, defines and tracks performance metrics, plans appropriate measures (e.g., enhancements, cost reductions, and phase-outs), and makes decisions on offering obsolescence and end-of-life to ensure that current and future market requirements are met and to maximize profitability.

• Defines new offering plans, intellectual property strategies, and sets technical, price, cost, and capital expenditure targets.

• Contributes to development of new portfolios by leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, and following up on offering portfolio performance.

• Initiates and drives product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation.

• Manages different channel to market scenarios in coordination with channel partners and Marketing and Sales teams to ensure the best possible market coverage.  Defines product customer value proposition per segment and channel and ensures clear communication with channels and users, to deliver clear offering positioning within the portfolio with defined values per offering line.

• Monitors global sales target achievement and tender volumes and takes actions as appropriate and ensures that correct pricing is applied for all countries within the relevant business area.

• Develops and maintains a global reference price list appropriate to both ABB internal offering positioning strategy and competitor offerings and ensures that it is developed and deployed in line with the needs of individual markets.

• Initiates creation of external and internal product training modules and programs.

• Lead, define and optimizes the SCADAvantage  level 3 support team.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

15+ years of experience in the Automation project and/or service in Energy industries.5+ years of Product Manager, Business Development, Product Marketing or Sales experience.5+ years of SCADAvantage product experience.Result-oriented individual that take responsibility and ownership and have a genuine desire to design and deliver customer centric high-quality products.An individual that can combine practical and theoretical knowledge when collaborating with the R&D, product marketing, sales, customer success and technical support teams.You have an entrepreneurial spirit and see opportunities instead of challenges. English is a requirement, as well as cultural awareness and mutual respect.
