SCADA Technician
Job Description We are seeking a motivated SCADA Technician with strong industrial automation and instrumentation experience. This role involves a steep learning curve and requires a self-driven approach, with a strong focus on safety due to high-voltage environments. The ideal candidate will be skilled in programming PLCs, installing, and troubleshooting SCADA panels and systems. Install, program, and troubleshoot SCADA panels and related industrial automation systems. Perform hands-on troubleshooting (approximately 90% of daily tasks). Collect and maintain detailed documentation as part of ongoing process improvements. Manage analog signals, simple relays, and hardware signal inputs. Travel between multiple facilities within Orange County for maintenance and support. Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices in high-voltage environments. Skills and Requirements Minimum of 2 years, preferably 4+ years, experience in industrial automation or SCADA systems. Strong background in industrial instrumentation and automation technology. Proficiency with PLC programming and familiarity with HMI platforms. Experience with Siemens Step 7, MTA Portal, RS Logix 5000, VT SCADA, Aviva, FactoryTalk, and Allen Bradley systems. Knowledge of analog signals, relays, and hardware integration. Solid computer and server skills. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA, CCST or CCIT, CAP are highly desirable. Wastewater treatment experience is a plus but not required.
