Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient SCADA Engineer to support the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of substation distribution-transmission automation systems. This role involves working closely with design engineers, network engineers, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and communication of smart grid devices within the utility network.

The salary range for this position is $76000-$96000K dependent upon relevant experience and background.

Develop and implement SCADA configurations for substation projects using existing RTU standards.Create and maintain point assignment sheets in collaboration with substation design engineers.Apply communication and network protocols as defined by network engineering teams.Diagnose and resolve data communication issues in coordination with system operators and relay test personnel.Remotely program devices such as reclosers and capacitor banks for new installations, failed equipment replacements, and downstream protection updates.Configure and maintain control systems and databases to support new SCADA device installations and updates.When required travel to job sites to configure, troubleshoot and implement SCADA configurations.
Work Experience
Who You Are
2–5 years of relevant work experience in SCADA systems or automation engineering.Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and apply complex system configurations.Solid attendance record and professional work ethic.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirements.Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.2–5 years of experience in the electric utility industry.Hands-on experience with SCADA systems and smart grid technologies (e.g., SEL relays, RTUs, gateways).Familiarity with distribution/transmission protection schemes and relay testing procedures.EEO Statement:
