**Job Description** Highly organized and independent Warehouse Specialist to join our robust and fast paced warehouse operation. The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate movement of materials and equipment throughout the warehouse. Key responsibilities: 1. Material handling and Movement Verifying materials against packing slips or other receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and any damage Receive, process and store material using Costpoint and government system ELMS and in accordance with prescribed storage methods. 2. Inventory management Maintain accurate inventory locations Help with yearly inventory 3 Production support Issue material to the production floor and ensure accurate remaining inventory in warehouse Prepare shipping documents and material for shipment 4 Safety and Quality Adhere to all safety and quality procedures and protocols The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $22.89/hr. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience in material handling and logistics Strong communication and organization skills Ability to life up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a fast paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software Attentive to detail **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** Associate or Bachelor's degree **Pay Information** This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
