We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team in Irwindale, CA. The ideal candidate will have the ability to use measurement tools, knowledge of saw concepts, practices, and procedures, and the ability to read and understand work orders, tolerances, and specifications.
Responsibilities include setting up machines, blades, stops or feeding devices, and ensuring the flow of coolant against the cutting area. The Saw Operator will also be responsible for properly loading material on saws using forklifts or other moving equipment, changing blades on saws as needed, cleaning saws at the end of the shift, and adhering to personal and facility safety procedures and practices. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
2-3 years of recent experience in as a Saw Operator. Must be able to read and understand work orders and cutting instructions, both written and on computer programs. Must have knowledge of saws, blades, guards, feeding devices, and coolant flow. Must be able to communicate, verbally and in writing, with managers and coworkers. Must maintain quality practices and safety standards. Must be forklift operations and safety certified. Must be able to work overtime as required.Schedule: 6am -4pm, Monday-Friday with possible OT on Saturday
Hourly Pay: $19.00-20.00/Hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
