Starbucks Reserve & Roastery is responsible for stewarding the Starbucks Reserve brand within a portfolio of unique flagship locations, Starbucks Reserve Stores and Culinary Kitchens across the US. Starbucks Reserve Kitchen teams use their knowledge and expertise to craft fresh food offerings with impeccable ingredients to inspire and delight customers in our Reserve & Roastery locations. These are energetic environments for culinary ambassadors who want to deliver consistent quality in handcrafted pastries, cakes, focaccia-style pizza, artisanal baked breads, and more. 

The savory cook I contributes to Starbucks success by organizing and executing food preparation in large quantities. Assists Head Savory Chef in food production for all food locations, catering events, and other functions. Candidate will assist with food production tasks as needed and ensures that quality and cost standards are consistently attained.

As a savory lead, you will:
 
Food Production Leadership 
•    Prepare or directly supervise the preparation of a wide variety of food items, soups and sauces per prescribed recipes. 
•    Assist the savory manager with inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning, and issuing supplies and equipment for food production. 
•    Consistently maintain standards of quality, cost, presentation, and flavor of foods. 
  
Planning & Prioritizing 
•    Consult on proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of quality; controls food and payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability. 
•    May support completion of production sheets and other records as required. 
•    Assists in preparation of reports, costs menus, makes schedules, and performs administrative duties as assigned. 
  
Coaching Performance & Development 
•    May support hiring activities and supervision of savory team when management team is not present. 
•    Support the development of partners through meaningful coaching conversations informed by observed performance. 
  
Culture & Effective Communication 
•    Set inspirational tone for partners by role modeling Starbucks Mission and Values along with the Reserve Kitchen vision.
