We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partners mission objectives. 

 

CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Technician Shift Lead, Senior.  This position is in support of the USAEUR Mission Partner Site K located in Site K.  This position is located OCONUS. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Supports satellite dish lifecycle management, including SATCOM system planning, installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, operations, replacement, and disposal 

Supports spectrum and frequency management services for SATCOM, Tactical Satellite (TACSAT), other satellites, and radio operations 

Configures networks, monitors systems, and activates remote terminals 

Supports tracking and resolving SATCOM incident reports and problems related to baseband, IF, and RF communications  

Maintains appropriate stock levels for spare components and recommends sparing needs to the Government 

Ensures safety requirements, including two-person manning, are always followed by team members, while maintaining SATCOM equipment 

Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments 

Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments 

May supervise others  

 

Qualifications: 

Required:  

Currently hold an adjudicated Secret clearance and the ability to maintain 

BA/BS +8-12 

Certification – 8140 - CEH or CFR or Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC 

Demonstrates comprehensive expertise in satellite communications systems, including advanced knowledge of lifecycle management, installation, maintenance, and operations.  

Possesses in-depth understanding of SATCOM technologies, spectrum management, and radio operations across various platforms.  

Exhibits mastery in network configuration, system monitoring, and complex troubleshooting for baseband, IF, and RF communications.  

Manages inventory of spare components, ensuring appropriate stock levels and recommending sparing needs to Government stakeholders.  

Leads shift operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and supervising team members in complex SATCOM operations.  

Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments, guiding junior technicians, and resolving high-impact SATCOM incidents. 

 Requires seasoned SATCOM engineer with comprehensive knowledge of satellite systems lifecycle management, including planning, installation, maintenance, and operations.  

 

Desired:  

Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs 

Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards 

Experience with DoD IT security requirements

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$43,500-$86,900
