Key Responsibilities:
As part of KBR's PEO Transport support team, you will recommend SATCOM and/or network resource requirements, cost strategies, technology investment priorities, and developing guidance in line with departmental processes and goals. Additionally, you will provide input on the evaluation of new and existing SATCOM requirements for supportability, implementation, and transition. Technical work will include assisting with the development and identifying processes, products, and tools to enable effective SATCOM capabilities and network optimization as well as providing support for Preliminary Designs, Final Designs, Implementation Plans and other program / systems engineering documentation. Additionally, you will assist with programs operational risk and NetOps readiness of services to meet the operations and quality of execution to meet customers and end-users’ requirements. As a member of KBR's industry leading Digital Engineering team, you will support the government's digital engineering approach consistent with DoD Instruction 5000.97 to provide systems engineering services, to include requirements analysis, preliminary and final design generation, and implementation plans in support of SATCOM ground infrastructure capabilities.

Qualifications:
Required:
3 years engineering experience with Military and Commercial Satellite communications (SATCOM) systems that deliver capabilities to tactical and strategic DoD users.
Participation in the design, development, integration, and sustainment of SATCOM and network systems throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
Preparing SATCOM and networking system documentation i.e. systems engineering plan, engineering change proposals and requests, system architecture, etc. to ensure system requirements are implemented and integrated into an overall system architecture.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate network and SATCOM capabilities to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data, voice, and video transmission via the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN)
Ability to travel as required to DISA SATCOM lab in Maryland with minimal travel to DISA Teleport facilities, in CONUS and OCONUS
Top Secret Clearance is required
Desired:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include MS Project, MS Visio, etc.
Familiarity with MBSE programs (CAMEO, SparX) and SysML language
Defense Acquisition University systems engineering training
INCOSE ASEP certification - OCSMP MBSE training and certification
