Raytheon is seeking a SATCOM Helpdesk Support Technician to work in Colorado Springs, partially on a customer site and partially remote.
What You Will Do
+ Provide technical assistance as part of a SATCOM helpdesk team.
+ Maintain, repair and upgrade EHF/AEHF SATCOM Systems.
+ Conduct site surveys, installations, integration, and acceptance testing of EHF/AEHF SATCOM systems.
+ Interface directly with the customer, work independently or as part of a team, and provide written status to management.
+ Travel up to 25% of the time both CONUS and OCONUS, interface directly with the customer, work independently or as part of a team, and provide written status to management
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires a bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a higher clearance level after start.
+ Experience in troubleshooting and repair of SATCOM systems including two (2) years’ combined experience on Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) SATCOM systems.
+ Experience reading and interpreting procedures, work instructions, schematics, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
+ Experience using hand and power tools and electrical/electronic test equipment.
+ Experience working in a military environment.
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Prefer a local candidate.
+ Experience working with the Family of Advanced Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), or Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (GASN-T).
+ Active duty or reserve military experience is desirable but not required.
+ Experience working in the field, independently as a Field Service Engineer or representative a plus.
+ Experience with MS Office products including Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, and Visio.
+ A Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field and 2 years relevant experience OR an Associate's degree and 6 years of relevant experience OR at least 10 years relevant experience with no degree. Relevant experience includes military experience on similar complex SATCOM equipment.
+ Excellent written and oral skills.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSACAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
