SATCOM Engineer

Summary: Seeking a SATCOM Engineer to configure, integrate, and troubleshoot satellite modems and communication links across various constellations.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - Telecommunications or related field, or 7+ years military experience in satellite communications

Minimum 5 years of experience with modem configuration, troubleshooting, installation, antennas, routers, and switches

Strong knowledge of GEO, MEO, and LEO satellite architectures and operations

Proficiency in mechanically and electronically steered antennas for COTM and fixed-site applications

Experience with aero and ground mobile satellite communication installations

Preferred Skills:

Aircraft Maintenance or Avionics Experience

Computer Networking experience; IT background and certificates

SATCOM experience in Civil and Military applications

Mobile SATCOM experience: USAF, USN, USMC

Responsibilities:

Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot satellite modems for network applications

Design and optimize satellite communication links across GEO, MEO, LEO constellations

Design network topologies for reliable data transmission over satellite links

Configure routers, switches; install updates to modems and antenna terminals

Implement network updates, patches, firmware upgrades to maintain system functionality

Support ground station and terminal integration for multi-orbit operations



Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
