The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Sapphire Integrated Planning & Scheduling Team Lead to join the team in Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; Saint Charles, MO; Everett, WA; Huntsville, AL; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; Tukwila, WA; or North Charleston, SC. 

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is modernizing its foundational product lifecycle management (PLM), manufacturing operations management (MOM), and enterprise resources planning (ERP) systems; enhancing its data strategies; and improving alignment of its execution processes via a program called Sapphire that is a joint effort between BDS and Boeing Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S).

The Senior Sapphire Integrated Planning & Scheduling Team Lead is the technical authority for Program Sapphire’s integrated schedule, bringing deep scheduling expertise and toolset mastery. This role owns the integrity of the Information Management System (IMS) and subordinate schedules, leads complex critical‑path, scenario and resource analyses, directs schedule recovery and change control, mentors the scheduling team, coordinates cross‑Integrated Project Team (IPT) integration and dependency resolution, prepares executive‑level briefings and escalations, and drives continuous improvement and automation of scheduling processes and tools.

Position Responsibilities:

Develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze, and maintain plans and schedules for very complex programs, and change-driven activities

Provide analysis and product development initiatives for information technologies Integrated Planning teams and Bedrocks

Support program planning requests for the development of new statement of work

Lead, direct, facilitate, and ensure integration of program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers, and partners

Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

Develop and maintain lower-level schedules

Manage baseline and forecast schedule changes

Lead and chair Brown Room and Green Room Integration activities

Communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, engineering, or other deliverables

Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and leadership to lower-level employees

Serve as the Team Lead for the Scheduling Team

Provide subject matter expertise in the development, implementation, and training of processes and tools

Present at Executive Level Meetings

Oversee Programs Overall Schedule

Oversee any system transitions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher

10+ years of experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules, including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project, Milestones, Primavera, Open Plan Professional, etc

Experience coordinating the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serving as a liaison between project and team, finance, planning, scheduling, and management

Experience performing in a leadership role

Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners

Experience in Open Plan Professional (OPP) and/or Microsoft Project (MS -Project) schedule applications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience working in a team environment

Experience adjusting priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events

Experience working as a self-starter with a positive attitude, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment

Experience in a Team Lead Role in Integrated Planning & Scheduling Team

Experience supporting a large complex project

Experience in Informational Technology

Experience with Program Planning

Experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules

Experience with implementation of new tool sets and training

Experience in a role demonstrating strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work

Experience in project management best practices and processes

Summary pay range: $132,600 – $192,050
