**Your role and responsibilities**
The SAP Procurement Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimisation of procurement and materials management solutions across SAP S/4HANA environments. The role provides functional leadership, drives process transformation, ensures alignment with organisational and government standards, and guides cross‑functional teams in delivering high‑quality procurement outcomes. This position requires deep expertise in SAP MM, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to lead complex procurement workstreams within enterprise and government programs.
• Lead the delivery of SAP S/4HANA Procurement and Materials Management solutions across major transformation programs.
• Define and govern functional designs, configuration standards, and end‑to‑end process flows across procurement, inventory, and supplier management processes.
• Translate business requirements into detailed solution designs, functional specifications, and integrated process models.
• Oversee configuration, testing, data migration, and deployment activities for SAP MM, including purchasing, inventory, MRP, logistics execution, and supplier collaboration.
• Engage with business stakeholders to drive procurement process optimisation, digital enablement, and alignment with best practices.
• Provide expert guidance on procurement controls, compliance, risk mitigation, and integration with finance, supply chain, and external procurement systems.
• Lead issue resolution, analysis of complex functional problems, and continuous improvement activities across the SAP procurement landscape.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful integration with SAP HANA, Fiori applications, workflow, and third‑party systems.
• Deliver high‑quality documentation including functional designs, process maps, test scenarios, training materials, and transition artefacts.
• Mentor and support junior consultants, contributing to capability uplift within the procurement practice.
• Support architectural governance, quality assurance, and adherence to government and organisational security standards.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
• Extensive experience as an SAP Procurement Lead or Senior SAP MM Consultant in SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Deep expertise in SAP MM including purchasing, sourcing, inventory management, MRP, supplier invoice management, and logistics‑related processes.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA data models, Fiori applications, and integration with SCM, Finance, and Ariba or other procurement platforms.
• Proven ability to lead procurement workstreams, produce high‑quality functional designs, and manage complex multi‑vendor project environments.
• Experience in government or regulated industry procurement processes, compliance requirements, and audit frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to address complex functional and process challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with proven leadership in collaborative team environments.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
• SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement or SAP MM certification.
• Experience with SAP Ariba, Fieldglass, or supplier‑management cloud solutions.
• Understanding of supply chain planning, logistics execution, or warehouse operations in SAP.
