Role OverviewThe P2P Product Owner plays a critical role in the wider Product Owner team, leading the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workstream. This role is responsible for facilitating the design, testing, training, and implementation of efficient, effective, and controlled processes, interfaces, and reports powered by SAP S/4HANA (or other solutions as appropriate). Working in collaboration with the P2P Business Owner & P2P IT Lead, the Product Owner ensures alignment between business needs and system functionality.
Based at Fremantle’s offices, this role supports all Business Units within the RTL Group, the parent company. It requires expertise in defining business processes, identifying requirements, translating them into solutions, justifying proposed developments, improving & harmonising the “template”; and acting as a vital link between users, stakeholders, consultants, and developers.
Key Responsibilities Represent the needs of Business Units (BUs), Global Business Services (GBS), and Internal Controls to prioritise & build the right solutions, whilst improving consistency across all units. Own and manage the Product Backlog, approving backlog items based on Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD). Prioritise the Product Backlog and determine release dates and content in alignment with the project roadmap and milestones. Lead Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, and Review processes. Responsible for test case management, integration testing, training material development, and "train the trainer" sessions. Define, maintain, and own the business processes. Conduct workshops to gather and understand business requirements. Propose and justify custom developments where necessary, collaborating with the development team for implementation. Prepare Functional Specifications and work closely with developers to bring solutions to life. Test processes and improvements while working with IT Leads to resolve defects. Develop training materials and (where required) deliver training sessions for Key / End users. Monitor process performance, gathering user feedback for continuous improvement. Drive the continuous improvement of system templates and business processes. Collaborate in the solution design process to ensure business needs are met effectively. Prepare and review system testing plans, scripts, and test results to ensure comprehensive coverage of business processes and requirements. Organise and lead project workshops across multiple time zones. Participate in Change Management activities to facilitate successful go-live and business adoption of new systems and processes. Provide support to key and end-users during post-go-live and business-as-usual phases. Proactively identify issues, document solutions, and facilitate testing and training as required. Undertake ad hoc tasks as required by the TRANS4M Programme, P2P Business Owner, or Functional Lead.
This role is based at Fremantle’s London headquarters but may require up to 25% international travel to support RTL Group businesses worldwide. Flexibility in working hours and remote collaboration via MS Teams will be necessary for global projects.
Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a P2P user or SAP (ECC/S/4HANA) implementer. At least 1 year of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role. Strong understanding of P2P processes in an SAP environment. Experience in system testing and end-user training (documentation and delivery). Ability to summarise and communicate key issues/themes to diverse stakeholders. Highly organised, proactive, and a self-starter. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate across teams. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively under time constraints. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio (Intermediate+ level). Adaptability to evolving project requirements and deadlines. Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time. Multilingual / cross-cultural skills are an advantage. Jira, qTest, or SAP Signavio are advantageous skills.
