As part of the ongoing integration of the Cash and Collection team with Concur, this internship offers hands-on experience in supporting operational finance processes. The intern will contribute to improving customer communication, streamlining collection efforts, and ensuring data accuracy across Concur and related systems. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain practical exposure to finance operations, customer service, and digital tools in a global business environment.
Key Deliverables
Efficient handling of the shared mailbox, ensuring timely responses and proper escalation. Active support in cash collection campaigns using provided contact lists and tracking tools. Daily customer outreach to resolve payment delays and basic billing issues. Accurate logging and escalation of disputes to senior team members. Maintenance of customer records and payment statuses in Concur. Coordination with internal departments to retrieve missing invoice or payment data. Follow-up on customer payment commitments to ensure resolution. Participation in team meetings with note-taking on action items related to Concur processes and collection strategy.
This internship plays a meaningful role in the success of the Cash & Collection team. The intern’s contributions will directly support the team’s ability to meet financial and operational targets through the following:
Accelerate Cash FlowBy supporting targeted collection campaigns and following up with customers, the intern helps reduce overdue receivables and contributes to improving Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Enhance Customer Experience
Through daily communication with customers, the intern ensures timely resolution of payment issues, which improves customer satisfaction and reduces the volume of escalations. Strengthen Operational Readiness
Managing the shared mailbox and documenting standard procedures ensures continuity, supports onboarding, and improves the team’s responsiveness and efficiency. Improve Data Quality in Concur
By updating customer records and payment statuses, the intern helps maintain accurate data, which is essential for reliable financial reporting and forecasting. Support KPI-Driven Collection Campaigns
The intern’s involvement in specific collection initiatives directly supports the achievement of key metrics such as DSO and cash collection targets.
