Job Summary

The SAP BW Expert is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of data warehousing solutions using SAP BW (NetWeaver, BW on HANA, or BW/4HANA). This role includes overseeing data modeling, extraction, transformation, reporting, and performance optimization.

The manager works directly with business stakeholders and analytics teams to translate reporting and analytics requirements into reliable, high-performing data models.

This position involves managing technical teams, ensuring data quality, and driving standardization and reusability across data solutions. Experience with SAP BW/4HANA, integration with SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is expected.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of SAP BW solutions aligned with business needsManage data extraction and transformation from SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and third-party systemsBuild and optimize InfoProviders, CompositeProviders, and data flowsDevelop BEx queries, integrate with SAC, BO, or Analysis for OfficeMonitor and tune data loads, queries, and data volumesEnsure data governance, security, and access control within BWCollaborate with reporting teams to align technical outputs with business KPIsSupport system upgrades, patching, and landscape managementDocument data models, ETL logic, and transport proceduresManage change requests, troubleshoot data and performance issuesLead and mentor BW developers and analysts

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fieldSAP Certified Application Associate – SAP BW or BW/4HANAProject Management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferredCertifications in SAC or BO are a plus

Experience

8–12 years of experience with SAP BW (at least 2 years with BW/4HANA)Minimum 2 years in a leadership or managerial roleProven record in delivering enterprise data warehouse projectsExperience in integrating BW with S/4HANA, ECC, and external data sourcesAt least 5 years of experience in the Banking Sector

Technical & Functional Skills

Deep expertise in SAP BW, BW on HANA, and BW/4HANA architecturesProficiency in data modeling (InfoObjects, ADSOs, CompositeProviders)Strong knowledge of ETL processes and extractor enhancementExperience with query design in BEx and AOUnderstanding of SAC and BO integration scenariosFamiliarity with data archiving, housekeeping, and lifecycle managementAbility to write technical specs and manage transports

Soft Skills

Work Environment & Conditions
