Our culture of evolution and empathy centers on long-term career growth and development opportunities in an environment that embraces your unique skills and experience. **Your role and responsibilities** The SAP Application Security Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting security solutions across SAP S/4HANA and related SAP platforms. The role ensures secure system configuration, effective access control, compliance with organisational and government security standards, and the safeguarding of critical business data. Working closely with functional, technical, and audit teams, the consultant will deliver expert guidance on SAP security architecture, role design, identity management, and risk mitigation. • Provide specialist expertise in SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA application security design, configuration, and support. • Develop and maintain SAP security roles, authorisations, and access control structures in alignment with business, compliance, and audit requirements. • Support the implementation of SAP GRC Access Control, including Access Request Management, Access Risk Analysis, Emergency Access Management, and Role Governance. • Conduct security reviews, segregation‑of‑duties analysis, and remediation activities for SAP applications and integrated environments. • Partner with project teams and business stakeholders to define secure solution designs for new initiatives, enhancements, and integrations. • Perform security testing, validation, risk assessments, and support assurance activities for SAP deployments. • Monitor and optimise SAP security performance, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements to strengthen security posture. • Prepare clear documentation including security design specifications, risk reports, procedures, and technical assessments. • Support compliance activities relating to audit, governance frameworks, and regulatory or government security requirements. • Provide guidance to junior security resources and contribute to capability uplift within the SAP security practice. **Required technical and professional expertise** • Experience as an SAP Application Security Consultant or similar role specialising in SAP S/4HANA or SAP HANA environments. • Strong understanding of SAP authorisations, role design principles, and security architecture across SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and related SAP applications. • Hands‑on experience with SAP GRC Access Control and security risk analysis tools. • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) concepts and integration with SAP systems. • Ability to conduct segregation‑of‑duties analysis, identify risks, and design compliant security solutions. • Experience supporting security components across multi‑vendor SAP transformation programs or government environments. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail and security best‑practice alignment. • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business teams. **Preferred technical and professional experience** • SAP Security, SAP GRC, or SAP S/4HANA certifications. • Experience working in Australian Government or highly regulated industry sectors. • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks, compliance standards, and audit processes. • Understanding of cloud‑hosted SAP environments and related security requirements.
