Position Summary 
 
The SAP ABAP Developer is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures, and system challenges to automate business processes and enhance existing SAP solutions. This role provides technical expertise in system design, development methodologies, tools, and standards used across the IT and business landscape.

As a key member of the SAP Core Team, the developer will support the business community by delivering high-quality ABAP technical solutions for both new projects and production support, spanning all major SAP functional areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

    

Design, develop, and enhance ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW)Build and support integrations using RFC, BAPI, IDoc, Proxies, and OData servicesImplement enhancements using User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, and Implicit/Explicit enhancementsAnalyze business requirements and prepare Technical Design Specifications (TDS)Provide effort estimates, impact analysis, technical solution options, and production support including incident analysis and root cause resolutionPerform unit testing and support SIT/UAT cyclesEnsure adherence to development standards, performance optimization, and secure coding practicesConduct peer code reviews and ensure audit and security complianceManage transport requests and releases using Solution ManagerCollaborate closely with functional teams (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, etc.) to understand business requirements, translate them into technical designs, and deliver end-to-end SAP solutionsCoordinate with Basis and Security teams for roles, authorizations, and system changesSupport deployments, cutovers, and hyper care activities

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field3–5 years of strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP (ECC and S/4HANA)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong ownership and delivery focusStrong experience in RICEFW developmentExperience with integration technologies (IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web Services, OData)Strong debugging and performance tuning skills

Good-to-Have Skills

ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, Fiori/UI5 basicsExposure to S/4HANA simplifications and modern extensibility
