General Overview of the Role

The SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing SAP applications through hands-on development work. This includes resolving incidents, designing solutions, and implementing system improvements. The role also contributes to ongoing and upcoming SAP projects, ensuring high-quality technical designs and effective execution of development activities.

This position is part of the IT Engineering job family, which is accountable for developing, testing, and maintaining software that supports and optimizes business operations. Individuals in this family translate system requirements and user stories into robust, scalable, and supportable software solutions.

The role plays a critical role in building high-quality technical solutions. The person in this role will ensure that system requirements are effectively converted into stable code, thoroughly tested, and implemented following established development lifecycle processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop SAP ABAP solutions based on system requirements and user stories.

Resolve incidents and ensure ongoing stability of SAP applications.

Participate in SAP projects, contributing to solution design, configuration, development, and implementation.

Develop and test code to ensure proper functionality, performance, and compliance with standards.

Collaborate closely with product teams, operations, and other technical groups to ensure seamless integration across systems and services.

Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions, where applicable.

Document technical specifications, test results, and solution designs as required.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (any field).

Hands-on SAP ABAP development experience (core requirement).

Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse Integrated Planning (nice to have).

Experience with Analysis for Office or SAP Lumira (nice to have).

Strong analytical skills and understanding of P&L and general financial concepts.

Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate across multifunctional teams.

Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
