You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

How you will contribute

You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

More about this role

The Sanitation Shift Leader directs and coordinates daily sanitation operations across all production areas, equipment. Their designated shift is midnight. This critical role ensures rigorous adherence to food safety and hygiene standards to prevent contamination and safeguard product quality. The shift leader will train, and develop a team of sanitarians, enforce safety protocols, and maintain full compliance with company policies , regulatory mandates and complete all documetation as required.

Enforce all plant safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), chemical handling protocols, confined space entry, and ergonomic practices Conduct regular safety observations and address potential hazards proactively, reporting all incidents and near-misses Lead initial response to sanitation-related safety incidents and contribute to investigations

Ensure all team members are properly trained and consistently use required PPE Quality Prevent incidents by ensure 'zero quality incidents' mentality and culture Quality Ensure all Post clean checks, documentation are completed correctly Quality Complete GMP walks Delivery React promptly to line stoppages, sanitation issues. Delivery Input shift GE data into GE tracker Delivery Cost Improve cost over time through systemic Loss Elimination, Identify and eliminate losses People Coach direct reports as required People People Production System Priority Setting through Daily Management System and effective escalation of issues

The expected annualized salary range for this position is $58,024.00 to $87,454.00 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.  In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 5% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results, and potential shift premiums and / or overtime.
