Summary:
The Sanitation Foreperson I supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in duties concerned with sanitation programs in food processing establishment by performing the following duties under the direction of the FSQA Manager.
Note: Sanitation Foreperson I residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of fifteen dollars per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicates directly with Production Managers to plan sanitation efforts around production needs, in accordance with the factory SSOP Plan.Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.Directs sanitation and production personnel in all areas of sanitation throughout the facility.Directs cleaning of equipment and work areasInspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditionsConfers with management and production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of productCompiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficienciesRoutes reports to designated plant personnelUses established guidelines to estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.Performs inspections to determine adequate sanitation efforts are being madeMaintains and monitors sanitation chemical inventory and concentration levels of sanitizing agents being used by personnelInterprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goalsMaintains time and production recordsConfers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.Additional Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as requested or assigned.Maintain inventories of supplies and equipment and place orders through the purchasing department as needed.Train and/or arrange for training of new employees. Maintain regular schedule of training updates for all employees.Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainingsEmployees working in Alaska are advised to have medical insurance coverage which is valid in the State of Alaska.
