Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: • Leads and manages the Individual Sewage Program across the region, providing expert guidance to staff and public officials while ensuring compliance with the Louisiana Administrative Code Title 51, Part XIII. • Conducts and oversees field inspections of individual sewage systems, including installation reviews, re-inspections, and technical evaluations, resolving compliance issues and supporting parish staff as needed. • Trains and supports staff, including field training for new personnel, ongoing education for permanent staff, and testing and licensing for sewage installers and coordinators. • Handles complex administrative tasks, including maintaining records, preparing reports, reviewing applications, issuing enforcement notices, and ensuring timely submission of program documentation. • Coordinates parish audits and surveys, evaluating local program performance, ensuring consistency in documentation and enforcement, and promoting adherence to sanitation standards. • Serves as a technical resource to parishes with limited staff, responds to public complaints, represents OPH at public meetings and court proceedings, and supports emergency response efforts across the region.
