Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current Louisiana Sanitarian's license plus one of the following: Three years of experience as a sanitarian; OR A master's degree in public health, food science, dairy science, environmental or sanitary science, or one of the physical or biological sciences plus two years of experience as a sanitarian. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in the Molluscan Shellfish program require that applicants complete the Louisiana Boating Education program and be certified by the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Works within the Louisiana Department of Health Bureau of Engineering Services to plan, schedule and perform water sample collection for drinking water contaminants at public water systems + Tracks, schedules, and conducts re-sampling of incomplete analysis reports and follow-up compliance or investigative sampling for maximum contaminant level detections and/or water complaints within required timeframe This position must maintain current registration with the Louisiana State Board of Examiners for Sanitarians as a Licensed Professional Sanitarian.
