Reports To: Photo Studio OPS Manager
Job Description: Monitor and supervise the daily workload of the Samples Department to ensure the demands for routing samples through Photography and Copywriting are met, while also meeting the demands of unpublished inventory. Ensure that all samples travel through the necessary departments in a timely manner creating the most efficient workflow possible. Lead a team and manage Production and Non-Production hours. Promote and model the TJX Leadership competencies and cultural factors.
Specific Duties:
Implement and manage the Samples workflow to get product in and through the Time to Market (TM) process, from the time of purchase order is entered to the time the product is published on the website.Direct Associates to make sure samples arrive in a timely manner. The goal is to have styles available for TM process and published to the website(s) prior to the bulk shipment being received, allowing us to sell the product immediately. This would include making sure samples have been ordered within 24 hours of the time the purchase order has been entered.Manage TM’s making sure all samples needed are within the workflow process in a timely manner, as well as monitoring the flow in and out of each of the following departments: Specs, Photography, Postproduction and Copy.Address all QA issues as samples come through the Sample department, involving the Buyer Assistants, Buyer and QA department when needed. Making sure if changes have been made the proper notes have been added to assist the Receiving department when the shipment arrives.Verify all products on the website have images and Color Chips using various reports.Verify all products on the website have a Color Family associated with it using various reports. This allows a customer to search by color on the website.Work with Photography and Postproduction so Vendor Images can be used when appropriate.Verify styles are published to website.Manage the Samples inventory, making sure unneeded inventory has been moved to the Fulfillment Center and made available for sale.Partner with Retail to take inventory that cannot go back to ReservesWork with OMS and Reports to create better ways to monitor and process samples throughout workflow processes.Manage process of partnering with QA/MC to fix PO/receiving issues within a given timeframeWork a Priority List each week with partnership in PlanningThis job description is not all encompassing and other responsibilities may be assigned by manager.
