Job Summary:
• Inputting sample information into computer database efficiently and accurately – data entry comprises 80% of this role
• Ensure appropriate test code and parameters are entered for every job, either by using a quote, profile or master test.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure accuracy of information for all in-house projects (including, but not limited to test codes and project references).
• Investigate and resolve outstanding issues/jobs through departmental collaboration.
• Attend regular team meetings to share Corporate and Departmental information and to communicate and share ideas.
• Adhere to Bureau Veritas’s quality systems QA/QC, SOPs and external accreditation requirement.
• Adhere to Bureau Veritas's safety policy.
• Ensure "Good Housekeeping" standards are met or exceeded.
• Maintain training records.
• All other responsibilities as assigned.
Work Relationships:
• Internal: Laboratory Operations and Customer Service
• External: Clients and Couriers

• Good knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education, Certifications, and Experience (required):
• University degree or college diploma in Sciences, chemistry or related environmental discipline and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a laboratory environment an asset.
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
• High level of work production in fast-paced lab environment
• Flexible working hours, overtime and shift work
• Changing priorities and balancing workload to meet tight deadlines
• Some lifting and carrying (up to 40 lbs) and may involve long periods of standing
• Hazardous materials are handled using established safety procedures and appropriate equipment.
