Job Description

The Inventory and Logistics Technician II will support the Discovery Services in contract research services to advance new pharmaceutical candidate testing. This position is primarily responsible for handling and processing incoming and outgoing shipments of samples/compounds, laboratory work, and site equipment support.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):

Associate Degree with 1 year of relevant experienceB.A. or B.S. with 6 months of relevant experienceGood communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and strong quality control acumenMay consider an equivalent of education and experienceCapacity to work independently, with minimal oversight upon completion of training program

 

Additional Preferences:

Experience in a contract research laboratory or clinical settingExperience in logistics / inventory managementExperience with Microsoft AX or comparable Business ERP applicationExperience with pipetting controls and standardsExperience with good documentation practicesExperience with quality system management, archival and document control

 

 

Ability / Skills (BMQ):

Ability to read, write, and interpret documents, such as standard operating procedures and technical reportsAbility to perform mathematical calculations, statistical analyses, and data interpretationAbility to multitask with organization and manage time effectivelyAbility to solve practical problems and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work in a laboratory setting, according to the physical requirements of a laboratory roleLab equipment and office computer/software proficiencyAbove average oral and written communication skills

Demonstrates a positive attitude, capacity for team environment, dedication for quality, and exhibits a genuine interest in drug discovery in support of advancing human health

Must complete site quality and lab safety training program within 30 days of hire.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports compound registration and  preparation for testing assaysSupports departmental QC checks and compliance with quality programSupports and completes laboratory needs and compound requests for testingMaintains the organization of short- and long-term storage of samples and disposition of samplesReceives shipments of compounds and samples for testing and completes required documentation with appropriate accountability, tracking, and compliancyPrepares compounds for testing lab through weighing of compounds, calculating solvent volumes, accurately pipetting, dispensing, labeling of samples, and utilizing automation equipmentMaintains the sample management, sample equipment, sample temperature controlled equipment, and warehouse areasSupports internal and external communication regarding handling and shipping of samplesSupports with receiving deliveries, sorts and distributes supplies, as required. Completes associated receiving documentationApplies and demonstrates proficiency in ERP and LIMS programs, to include sample management and compound management applicationsPreparation, packaging, and shipping of outgoing samples, supplies and products in accordance with IATA and DOT regulationsSupport shipping couriers and import/export requirements through provision of required documentation and communicationSupport the site's equipment management programSupports international shipping and compound requirement requestsUnderstands and complies with requirements for work performed at a GxP siteCompletes required training and supports 100% of Employee Health and Safety requirementsDemonstrates proficiency with, care and maintenance of department equipment and assetsConducts responsible use of confidential IT and business systems, as requiredAdheres to department SOP's and documentation requirements, maintains accurate data management and reporting. Creates departmental DQs and SOP's as neededParticipates in departmental audits to comply with quality standardsPerforms work in a laboratory and logistics setting, with physical job requirements of the rolePrepares and manages inventory of buffers, reagents, media, semi-finished and finished goodsSupports unit goals and demonstrates Eurofins’ competencies, as defined in the job planProvides training to colleagues and external end users, when requiredWorks effectively in a team environment, under minimum direction, to achieve business key performance metrics of quality and delivery on time.Adjusts work hours and provides cross-functional support to other departments, as required, and maintains accountability in delivering to client needs/timelinesRoutinely communicates project updates to internal and external clientsPerforms other duties, as assigned

Additional Information

Position is full-time, 1st shift hours available. 8 AM- 5 PM 

Authorization to work in the United States without Sponsorship is required.
