About the role
Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday or Friday
The Field Education Intern will support the development, deployment, and optimization of field education programs and content with a focus on leveraging AI technology to enhance learning effectiveness, associate engagement, and customer experience. This internship provides hands-on exposure to modern learning strategies, AI-powered tools, and field execution to support our new Sally Ignited brand direction while partnering closely with education, operations, and cross-functional teams with an ability to impact customer centricity.
This role is ideal for a candidate interested in learning & development, retail education, instructional design, and emerging AI technologies.

This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work three days per week at the Support Center in Legacy West, Plano, TX.This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance are not provided.Availability is required from June 1 through August 7, 2026, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.Responsibilities
AI & Learning Technology Support
Assist in the integration of AI tools into field education and training content (e.g., AI-driven micro-learning, content recommendations, knowledge checks)Bring innovation and content creation of project work through an AI lensSupport testing, feedback collection, and optimization of AI-enabled learning platforms and tools to include Genially and potential new digital frontline employee experience platformAnalyze learning engagement data and AI insights to identify trends, opportunities, and improvements for the learnerField Education & Content Development
Help create and update training materials, micro-learning modules, job aids, and field-ready education tools and resources Support the alignment of education content to business priorities, driving sales plan, and delivering strong customer experience objectivesAssist in maintaining learning content accuracy, relevance, and consistency across educational platformsField & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with field leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to support education initiatives in partnership with the Sr Mgr of Education ProgramsAssist with coordination of field rollouts and learning campaignsParticipate in store visits, virtual sessions, or field observations (as applicable) to understand learning in actionMeasurement & Continuous Improvement
Track training completion, engagement, and effectiveness metricsSupport reporting and summaries that communicate learning impact and insights to stakeholdersContribute ideas for improving learning experiences using innovation, technology, and best practices with a heavy influence of the use of AI in the learning environment

Currently pursuing a degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Business, Technology, Data Analytics, or a related fieldStrong interest and proven capabilities in AI technology and its application in learning, retail store education, or workforce developmentStrong communication, organization, and collaboration skillsComfortable and confident working with digital tools, learning platforms, and dataPreferred

The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. Typically, the associate may sit comfortably to do the job. However, some tasks and activities may be walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts, driving an automobile to a store location, etc. These activities are not frequent and do not require significant physical demands to perform the work.
While involving everyday risks or discomforts, the work environment is designed with standard safety precautions. These precautions, typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, residences, or commercial vehicles, include using safe work practices with office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, ensuring the safety and comfort of our associates.
