The Salesforce Junior Developer for La Jornada will participate in the assigned development. Collaborate weekly with a cross- functional team to understand business requirements then develop technical design, architecture, use Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality to develop required functionality, testing, and deployment of high-quality salesforce solutions. **RESPONSIBILITIES** The Salesforce Junior Developer for La Jornada will perform duties including, but not limited to: · Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies. · Collaboration: Collaborate very closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements. Work with the team to design, demonstrate, and revise functionality and then implement Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements. · Create: Roles, profiles, hierarchies, objects, fields, workflows, approval processes, validation rules and sharing, security rules, and configuration using no-code out-of-the-box functionality. · Data Management: Help with data import, data cleansing, and data migration tasks to ensure data integrity within Salesforce. · Testing: Work with super users and cross-functional teams to test new functionalities and ensure quality control by identifying and addressing bugs and issues. · Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for configurations, customizations, and code to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with best practices. · Support: Work with super users and cross-functional teams to provide training, support and troubleshooting for Salesforce users, including resolving user-reported issues and system errors to improve user adoption. · Performs other duties as requested. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** · Demonstrated experience in Salesforce platform fundamentals and an understanding of CRM concepts. Examples of past projects to demonstrate successful projects is required. · 2 + years of experience with Salesforce.com custom development. Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud preferred. · 2 + years of experience on integrating Salesforce with third-party applications. · 2 + years of experience with object-oriented programming principles, data structures, data modeling, design patterns, relational database systems, and operating systems. · 2 + years of experience of resolving technical bugs and issues. · Must reside in the continental United States (US) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply. · Must pass background checks. · Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. **OTHER SKILLS** · Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly. · Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. · Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** · Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity. · Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands. · Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying. · Ability to travel frequently and drive vehicle while sitting for extended periods, with frequency varying based on program demands. · Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
