Salesforce Developer is a key member of our IT Engineering team. This role is responsible for translating system requirements and user stories into a robust supportable design of code for the product or application. Salesforce Developer will develop and test code to ensure it functions as designed and will implement code across the software development life cycle steps preferring CI/CD tooling for deployment and integration. This person will provide operations support in a DevOps environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Development & Customization:
Design and develop Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Components for custom business requirements.
Build and maintain customized applications on Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and other relevant offerings.
Integration:
Develop and manage integrations with third-party applications and APIs using tools like Salesforce Connect, and Apex REST/SOAP APIs.
Leverage Salesforce Platform Events for real-time communication and integration.
Testing & Deployment:
Develop and execute unit tests, system tests, and UAT to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Manage deployments using DevOps tools like Copado, or Salesforce CLI.
Change and Release Management
Familiarity with Salesforce deployment tools (e.g., Change Sets, Gearset, Copado).
Managing sandbox environments for testing and development.
Planning and executing deployments, ensuring minimal disruption.
Operations
Diagnosing and resolving issues in Salesforce operations in ITSM systems.
Monitoring system performance and resolving outages or errors.
Job Qualifications
Required
1-3 years of experience as a software developer (at least knowledgeable in Java Programming Language)
Experience in Salesforce platform development, including Apex programming and Lightning component development (Aura and LWC).
Proven track record in web integration with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
Familiarity with design patterns, good object-oriented programming practices and Clean Code rules
Familiarity with good unit and integration testing practices
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is required
Preferred
Salesforce certifications (for example: Administrator and Platform Developer I)
Knowledge of the Salesforce platform and its declarative capabilities as well as out-of-the-box functionalities
Practical knowledge of Salesforce metadata and source code driven development as well as the usage of the tools (code repository systems, deployment automation, project tracking)
Practical knowledge of Salesforce DX and packaging
Experience in integrating Salesforce with other systems/platforms
Experience in requirements gathering and analysis and working with the business partners
Experience in working with unlocked packages & managed packages
DevOps / Agile programming attitude
Manage deployments using DevOps tools like Salesforce CLI, CI/CD deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions/Jenkins
