Job Description
This position is responsible for defining the release plan in collaboration with product owner, program manager, business analysts & platform engineering team, lead the development team to deliver the features as per the release plan and lead the operations team to administrate & manage the production support & enhancements of the platform. This position is responsible to follow AbbVie SLC process to ensure compliance to deliver quality and validated systems. This position is responsible for demonstrating continuous improvement in the delivery of SFDC solutions. This person will stay on top of technological trends, agile project management and perform the required technical research and due diligence when necessary to recommend the use of new technology capabilities.
Conceive, design, engineer, and implement data and software solutions that solve significant scientific or business problems. Generate new proposals and lead those efforts. Investigate, identify, and implement state-of-the-art technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains in own function and throughout multiple business areas. Act as a lead in his/her area of expertise and critically evaluate relevant technological advances and integrate this knowledge into new business technology solutions. Technology Architects will be aligned to a specific area: Information, Solution, System, User Experience (UX) or Data.
Responsibilities
Data Architecture and Modeling: Design scalable and efficient data models within Salesforce, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security for integration purposes.Integration Architecture and Design: Define and design robust integration patterns and solutions between Salesforce and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, Marketing Cloud), utilizing APIs, middleware, and other appropriate technologies.Data Engineering Leadership: Lead the data engineering efforts, including data migration, transformation, and integration processes, specifically for patient master data and Salesforce Marketing Cloud activation.Data Quality and Governance: Establish and enforce data quality standards and participate in data governance initiatives to ensure accurate and reliable data for integrated systems.Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and integration teams on data architecture, integration best practices, and performance optimization.Collaboration with Architects: Work closely with Solution Architects to ensure data and integration designs align with the overall system architecture and contribute to ecosystem solutioning involving Salesforce.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data and integration requirements and translate them into technical designs.Technical Roadmap Contribution: Support the Salesforce technical roadmap, specifically regarding data and integration aspects, and influence stakeholders to prioritize related initiatives.Solution Design and Innovation: Act as a trusted advisor, designing and architecting data and integration solutions for business problems. Build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate new technologies and approaches.Technical Debt Management: Identify and address technical debt related to data and integration, ensuring the use of current and efficient Salesforce features.Performance Optimization: Design and implement solutions with a focus on data performance and scalability, particularly for large data volumes and real-time integrations.Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Provide expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex data integration and performance issues.Staying Current: Continuously learn about new Salesforce releases, features, and integration technologies to provide informed guidance.Documentation: Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data models, integration designs, and data flows.Compliance: Ensure data and integration solutions comply with relevant AbbVie policies and procedures.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience; Master's Degree with 7 years of experience; PhD with 3 years of experience in application program development. Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.Requires in‐depth knowledge of the systems development life cycle, client area’s functions and systems, and systems application program development technological alternatives.Salesforce.com certification Salesforce Architect certifications, data and/ integration architect preferred.6+ years of work experience in technical project execution on large enterprise projects, with experience in business requirements analysis, Solution architecture, designing and solution delivery.6+ years of experience in implementing and delivering solutions built on Salesforce platform and exposure to Service Cloud implementation. Health Cloud experience is preferred.Exposure and understanding of enterprise architecture principles, Salesforce Well architected concepts, have implemented Salesforce scalable and sustainable solutions using best architecture principles.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
