Sales & Use Tax Analyst
Mobile Communications America, Inc. is seeking a motivated **Sales & Use Tax Analyst** for our growing team in **Spartanburg, SC** . The Sales & Use Tax Analyst will assist the MCA Tax Department with MCA’s indirect tax filings, including, but not limited to, sales & use tax, property taxes and business licenses. You will be part of a team that is passionate about serving customers by addressing challenges that impact their safety, security, and operational efficiency. **WHAT YOU WILL BE DO:** + Coordinate the timely and accurate filing of MCA multi state sales tax returns with the various states agencies via our automated tax filing software solution (Avatax) for multiple entities + Assist with reconciliation of tax related general ledger tax accounts + Prepare and file property tax returns + Help to organize our reporting requirements with Avalara Business License Management software (BLM) + Research tax issues as they pertain to the taxability of products and services for MCA and provide guidance to management + Ensure MCA is compliant with all monthly/quarterly/yearly tax filings + Assist manager with sales & use tax audits + Assist with various projects as assigned + Register, renew state, county, city and local tax permits **COMPETENCIES:** + Credibility, ethical, full disclosure and clean financial history + Excellent communications skills; including verbal and written communication skills + Strong technical and analytical accounting/indirect tax background with recent experience and familiarity with complex indirect taxation issues + Exhibits a commitment to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, looks beyond the obvious for effective solutions in order to meet/exceed the needs of internal and external customers. + Acts in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations. **WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field + 2 -5 years of indirect tax experience for multi-state tax filing including sales tax, property tax & business licenses + Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment + Strong follow-up skills with attention to detail and accuracy + Strong customer service orientation, a team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships + Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization at all levels + Highly proficient computer and software skills including intermediate to advanced Excel, NetSuite and Avatax preferred + Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work well under deadline pressure **WHO WE ARE:** Mobile Communications America, Inc.
