The Sales Trainer & Sales Enablement Specialist will be a critical part of our Sales Enablement team, responsible for enhancing the effectiveness and productivity of our sales force across our software, telematics, and fleet management solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs, creating impactful sales enablement content, and optimizing sales processes and tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to drive measurable improvements in sales performance. Estimated ~10% travel
**What you'll do...**
+ **Training Program Development & Delivery:**
+ Design, develop, and implement engaging sales training programs, including new hire onboarding, ongoing product training, sales methodology, competitive positioning, and advanced sales skills (e.g., prospecting, discovery, negotiation, closing).
+ Tailor training content specifically for software sales, telematics solutions, and fleet management services, ensuring relevance and depth in each domain.
+ Deliver training sessions virtually and in-person, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques to maximize learning and retention.
+ Conduct regular training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement within the sales team.
+ **Sales Enablement Content Creation:**
+ Develop and maintain a robust library of sales enablement content, including sales playbooks, battlecards, competitive intelligence, product sheets, case studies, demo scripts, and objection handling guides.
+ Collaborate closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Sales Leadership to ensure all sales materials are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with market messaging and product roadmaps.
+ Ensure content addresses the unique value propositions and challenges within software, telematics, and fleet management sales cycles.
+ **Sales Process & Tool Optimization:**
+ Work with Sales Operations to optimize the sales process, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Drive adoption and proficiency of sales tools and technologies (e.g., CRM, sales engagement platforms, learning management systems) through training and support.
+ Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, measure the impact of enablement initiatives, and recommend data-driven improvements.
+ **Coaching & Performance Improvement:**
+ Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to sales professionals, helping them refine their sales techniques and product knowledge.
+ Support sales managers in their coaching efforts by providing resources and guidance.
+ Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales methodologies and best practices.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration:**
+ Act as a liaison between sales and other departments (Product, Marketing, Customer Success) to ensure consistent messaging and effective information flow.
+ Gather feedback from the sales team to inform product development and marketing strategies.
**You'll have...**
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
+ 3+ years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or a similar role within a B2B technology environment.
+ Proven track record in software sales, telematics sales, or fleet management sales, either directly or in a supporting enablement capacity.
+ Strong understanding of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, SPIN Selling).
+ Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement platforms.
+ Ability to analyze sales data and metrics to identify trends and measure program effectiveness.
+ Ability to accommodate ~10% travel and have close proximity to an airport
**Even better, you may have...**
+ Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ATD, Challenger, MEDDIC).
+ Experience within the Fleet Management space with an FMC is preferred
+ Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Experience with instructional design principles and e-learning development tools.
+ Familiarity with the specific nuances of selling SaaS, IoT, or vehicle-related technology solutions.
+ Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
