Position Summary:
This role plays an important role by delivering full cycle training that translates into productive and successful sales managers and agents. The right person will identify training needs, collaborate with home office and field stakeholders, design and deliver curriculum for onboarding, initial and ongoing training, track desired outcomes, report metrics and maintain training materials.

This hybrid position is located Chesterfield, MO.
*Travel will be required as the business necessitates.
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct skill gap analysis to identify training needsCollaborate with home office and field stakeholders to clarify expectations, needs, establish desired outcomes and deliverablesEffectively apply knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory to the design and delivery methods of new training programs.Utilize multimedia technology, eLearning and electronic performance support as part of a blended approach.Deliver onboarding, initial and ongoing training for sales managers and agentsCollect feedback from attendees and their managers post trainingTrack and report metrics that summarize results and model outputs, suitable for multiple audiences including Kemper Senior ExecutivesMaintain current records, updated training material, curricula, and costsSuggest needed changes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of training programsWork collaboratively with field training team to gather information, take ownership of deliverables, and meet deadlines and established budgetsSupport the continuous exchange of best practices, learning and information across all teams within Kemper LifeOther duties as assigned.Position Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience3+ years of sales training experience. Insurance or financial services experience preferred.Experience as the subject matter expert on project teamsAdvanced PowerPoint and Excel skillsAbility to drive the ideation, design and delivery of field sales training solutions in close collaboration with a range of partners including business owners, field partners, technology, operations, legal & compliance, and corporate training.Strong customer focus and should be able to collaborate with users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into training requirements.Ability to create and manage an effective learning environmentExperience tracking, managing and displaying KPIs and training metrics in a manner that creates actionable informationExperience coordinating logistics of travel to and from training events, including but not limited to lodging, air, rail or car travel, and banquet managementKnowledge of insurance sales processes desiredExcellent design skills; strong oral communications and presentation skillsHigh collaborative skills and ability to interface across organizational levels and culturesStrong organizational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines in a fluid, fast-paced environmentStrong communication, organization and presentation skillsAbility to build effective partnerships and exhibit positive impact on business objectivesA thorough understanding of instructional design, adult learning and training methodologiesPost-training the employee will transition to a hybrid work schedule which will reporting to our Chesterfield, MO location.
