Lead the sales operations within an assigned region, ensuring alignment with company goals. Drive revenue growth, increase market share, and improve profit margins through strong leadership and customer-focused strategies. Lead a team of sales representatives, set clear targets, and provide coaching to ensure team success. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers to secure repeat business and explore upselling opportunities. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities. Work closely with marketing, product, and support teams to deliver complete solutions to customers. Handle sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to support informed business decisions. Represent the company at industry events to promote brand awareness and gather market insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesTake full ownership of achieving personal and team sales targets, including revenue growth and margin improvement objectives.Cultivate a collaborative, dedicated culture within the team, encouraging partnership, accountability, and continuous performance improvement.Implement strategic sales and marketing activities to meet or exceed goals across assigned territories and product/service segments.Maintain a consistent level of customer engagement through regular visits, meeting or surpassing the minimum required customer interactions each month.Ensure all customer inquiries are addressed within two working days, providing timely and effective communication.Participate in weekly alignment meetings with the Sales Manager or Segment Leader to review performance metrics, sales reports, and forward-looking call plans.Submit comprehensive monthly updates to the Department Manager covering market intelligence, competitor analysis, emerging business opportunities, and customer feedback.Lead and handle business development initiatives across assigned regions in Malaysia, from opportunity identification to closure.Achieve assigned annual sales targets and product-specific quotas.Lead and support a team of sales representatives or product specialists, providing regular mentoring, performance evaluations, and professional development support.Leverage CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline management, lead tracking, and customer insights.Use data analytics to drive decision-making and identify areas for improvement.Ensure alignment of team members with company goals while monitoring and supporting the achievement of individual sales targets.Facilitate the onboarding and training of new sales staff to ensure deep understanding of products, systems, customer engagement strategies, and internal processes.Other ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent, high-quality customer experiences, while proactively finding opportunities for continuous improvement.Collaborate with the Technical Services team to resolve customer issues related to product installation, technical support, warranty claims, and application support—ensuring a flawless post-sales experience.Work closely with marketing, supply chain, customer service, and finance teams to ensure sales strategies are well supported.Call out internal and external challenges in a timely manner, offering clear, actionable recommendations for resolution and process improvement.Analyze sales performance, including wins and losses, and work with management to develop and implement strategies to improve conversion rates.Participate in local and international training programs provided by the company or its vendors to stay current with product knowledge and industry trends.Drive marketing initiatives such as seminars, roadshows, and customer engagement events to promote brand and product awareness.Lead all aspects of the entire product delivery and installation process to ensure customer happiness at every stage.Assist in the collection of outstanding payments as part of overall account management responsibilities.Support the training and onboarding of new Product Specialists as needed, promoting knowledge sharing and team development.Ensure strict adherence to GDPMD procedures, company policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Science, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.With at least minimum 5 years in account management and sales, preferably within the academic, government, private industry, or healthcare sectors.Proven leadership experience, including leading and motivating sales teams to achieve and exceed targets.Strong analytical and strategic decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends into actionable plans.Consistent track record in growing and handling key customer accounts and expanding distribution networks.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic discussion skills, capable of building and maintaining strong client and internal relationships.Willing and able to travel as required to support customer engagements, team activities, and industry events.
