This Position reports to:
Senior Engineering ManagerYour role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for BA Function Operation Centers and Quality division based in Bangalore, India
Your responsibilities
· Preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit, and Sales organization directives.
· Be the single interface towards customers and ensure timely and proactive communication
· Responsible for the bid during the whole sales phase, from lead until signing the contract.
· Set up and collaborate with ABB group functions, such as Legal, Finance, Taxes, and Insurance.
· Use experience and understanding to add to the Bid plans and decision-making as the tendering process evolves
· Coordinate with the procurement team and maintain support from internal and third-party suppliers
· Analyze project proposals and cost plans and prepare for risk review
· Defines cost for the proposed solution and communicates to the Sales organization.
Qualifications for the role
· Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering.
· Minimum 10 years’ experience in the energy industries.
· Experience in engineering and project execution is an advantage.
· Ability to work independently, but with a strong team-oriented attitude.
· Preferably experience in solution sales or project management
· Knowledge about market requirements and standards within the industry is positive.
