Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Modernization Sales representative to promote innovative solutions with current and potential customers within our Yonkers, NY; The Bronx; Harlem; and surrounding suburban territories.

On a typical day you will:

Proactively identify, respond to, and win modernization projects to include: identifying bid opportunities, preparing bid responses, creating presentations, negotiating with potential customersBuild and maintain relationships with potential and existing customersSupport Business Development Manager’s, Account Managers & Client Engagement Managers in capital planning efforts for existing maintenance clientsProvide basic elevator consultation to customers by visiting job sites. Deliver customized product and solution recommendations based on client needsImplement the modernization sales installation processes by working directly with field management on modernization projects and coordinating activities and information concerning the modernization of all equipmentOversee job details throughout sales process, including managing contract documents, creating approvals and layouts and tracking to completionProvide expert technical support throughout project planning and implementationLead or activate project management support to ensure quality project completion and customer satisfactionBuild relationships with local market vertical transportation consultants

What you will need to be successful:

3+ years of sales experience requiredElevator or related industry experience strongly preferredProven ability to excel in a highly team‑oriented, dynamic environment with strong customer‑facing communication skillsStrong written and verbal communication abilities to build clear expectations and strong relationships with internal and external customersSelf‑motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and responsibilities simultaneouslyComfortable working in a technical environment and proficient with Microsoft‑based softwareStrong presentation skills for both in‑person and virtual meetingsExceptional sales and negotiation skills; goal‑oriented with excellent time management and organizational abilitiesBachelor’s degree required

The salary range for this role is $78,000 to $120,000.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
