Job Title: Field Sales Representative
Job Description
This role offers an opportunity to help launch a new delivery partner program in the area by recruiting local businesses to join a growing last-mile delivery network. You will spend most of your time in the field visiting prospective businesses, presenting the program, qualifying leads, and guiding them through the application process. You will collaborate closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors, drive referrals through community organizations, and support recruitment events. The position requires regular travel of up to two hours driving distance and offers uncapped commission based on the number of partners you successfully convert.
Responsibilities
Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a 90-minute driving radius to introduce the delivery partner program.Present and pitch the new delivery program opportunity to business owners and decision-makers, clearly explaining benefits and requirements.Generate interest and encourage qualified businesses to apply to the program.Qualify prospective businesses based on defined criteria and guide them through each step of the application process.Own and manage lead activity and sales pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.Support the Field Manager in planning and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.Partner with the Field Manager to build relationships with local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals.Import Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to maintain up-to-date records of prospects and partners.Provide exceptional customer service to prospective and new partners, answering questions and resolving issues that arise during the application and onboarding process.Identify and solve problems for applicants in the field, escalating issues when necessary while maintaining a high sense of urgency.Consistently work toward and exceed recruitment and conversion targets to maximize commission earnings.Travel within the assigned territory, up to approximately four hours round trip daily, to cover target areas effectively.Essential Skills
At least 2 years of experience in sales and/or customer service.Proven outside or field sales experience, including door-to-door or territory sales.Hands-on experience using a CRM system; Salesforce experience is preferred.Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for pitching, presenting, and follow-up.Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence customer decisions.High level of professionalism, reliability, and enthusiasm for working with others.Strong sense of urgency and ownership in driving results and meeting goals.Attention to detail when managing applications, documentation, and CRM data.Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems for applicants in real time while in the field.Comfort working with multiple systems and technology, including spreadsheets and CRM tools.Ability to travel up to approximately 4 hours round trip per day within the assigned territory.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with the local area and community is highly preferred.Previous field sales experience is a strong plus.Prior experience in roles that involved direct sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus.Comfort presenting to small groups at community events such as lunch-and-learn sessions or town hall meetings.Ability to collaborate effectively with a Field Manager, peers, and community partners.Motivated by performance-based incentives and uncapped commission structures.Work Environment
This is a predominantly field-based role, with work in the field 4–5 days per week visiting businesses and attending community events. When not in the field, you will work from home to manage your pipeline, follow up with prospects, and complete administrative tasks. The position requires regular driving within a territory of up to approximately two hours each way, with mileage reimbursed at a set per-mile rate. You will use tools such as Salesforce and Excel regularly to track leads, manage data, and report activity. The environment is fast-paced and goal-oriented, with uncapped commission opportunities and additional monthly incentives tied to performance, including earnings per partner converted at various program milestones. Professional, presentable attire is expected when meeting with business owners, community partners, and attending recruitment events.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.50/hr.
