The Training Specialist provides broad-based internal business consulting specialized in integrating people issues with business strategy. The incumbent in this role is responsible for enhancing our organization’s performance, productivity, and profitability through its people. His/her focus areas include learning and development, talent performance management, culture and strategic change, and employee engagement.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learns training content (including systems where applicable) and delivers effective, consistent training using approved training materials.Participates in train-the-trainer sessions with instructional designers and SMEs.Travels to conduct team-facilitated train-the-trainer and end-user training on process, tools, systems, roles/responsibilities, and soft skills.Participates in continuous improvement sessions with instructional designers, SMEs, market and national stakeholders, and other master facilitators.Supports training material updates and enhancements with direction from an instructional designer and in collaboration with other facilitators and SMEs.Conducts administrative work such as preparing for sessions, sending post-class communication and follow up, and tracks training completions.Performs other learning and development-related activities, as necessary.Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

Good business acumen and acuityKeen knowledge and understanding of standard Training Specialist functions, practices, processes, and proceduresFamiliarity with competency-based learningFamiliarity with learning management systems (LMS) preferredAdvanced mastery of using in-person and remote delivery training tools such as PowerPoint, Prezi, GoToMeeting, LiveMeeting, Adobe Connect, RingCentral, WebEx, SharePoint, and/or other similar learning development and delivery toolsSuperior research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated capabilities in teamwork, leadership, and judgmentSelf-motivated and metrics-orientedStrong commitment to developing and coaching othersExcellent written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skillsProduction of high-quality deliverables quickly and without errors (punctuation, content, formatting, spelling, etc.)Ability to rapidly master new systems and tools and effectively teach othersAbility to pose effective questioning and facilitation techniques to influence learners with self-awareness, self-discovery, and learningStrong learning agility and flexibilityAbility to apply prior knowledge and insights in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentAdvanced Microsoft Office skills:PowerPoint – graphics, animation, master slide formatting, notes development, and basic storyboarding.Word – reference and table creation, master formatting, and document structuring.Excel – tracking, sorting, filtering, conditional formattingProficient in a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and presentation softwareAbility and willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 40% of the timeSpoken and written fluency in EnglishThis job requires use and exercise of independent judgment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

Associate Degree in related field required.Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Three (3) + years Salesforce experience, including advanced reporting and basic administration.Previous experience in Healthcare vertical highly preferred.Previous knowledge of Healthcare applications a plus.Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), with Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access.
