Sales & Marketing Manager

General Purpose:

Serves as the first point of contact for Members, including the new member orientation, basic membership questions, management of member social functions and other club activities, daily maintenance of membership lists and member communications. Solicits business that enables the facility to meet and/or exceed revenue goals in, food and beverage, membership sales, and golf revenues. Maintains all marketing for the club.
 

Salary: $65,000 base salary plus commission

Essential Duties:

♦ Acts as main point of contact for all member social events including creating all event orders, event marketing, invitations, menu selection, RSVPs, billing coordination and onsite representative.
♦ Serves as management representative on member run Committee.
♦ Administrative lead on member events such as golf tournaments and individual member events with responsibilities that include creation of event orders, coordination and staff, RSVPs management and billing.
♦ Acts as primary owner for all member website duties; responsibilities include updated and creation of online content, distribution of communication, tracking member activity and collecting member feedback.
♦ Creates and distributes all regular member correspondence including but not limited to: Monthly Member Newsletter, Club announcements, and seasonal procedural updates.
♦ Maintains complete understanding of membership categories, sales processes and new member enrollment processes.
♦ Assists in on-boarding of all new members with new member announcements and orientation information.
♦ Maintains electronic member databases and hard files. Creates and maintains accurate and efficient filing systems.
♦ Serves as initial point of contact for many members and prospective member questions, providing accurate and efficient information to build strong membership relationships, improve member satisfaction and promote the overall club.
♦ Solicits new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals. Methods of sales may include, but are not limited to telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, sales presentations, property tours, customer meetings, travel to key markets, and written correspondence.
♦ Prepares written correspondence to customers, internal booking reports, and ensures proper maintenance of sales files.
♦ Prepare reports such as annual sales plan, monthly sales reports, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts, etc.
♦ Participate in and may conduct meetings such as staff meetings, daily business review, board meetings, and assist with management expectations.
♦ Works with other departments within the resort to provide quality service to customers.
♦ Attends trade shows, community events, and industry meetings.
♦ Performs various administrative duties including operating key office machines such as computers, calculators, fax machine and copiers.
♦ Regular and reliable attendance.
♦ Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

Associate’s degree (AA); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Club experience, Marketing preferred).
 

Physical Demands:

Frequently talks and hears. Regularly walks, stands, sits and uses hands. Occasionally reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.

Noise level is moderate.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

♦ Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
♦ Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Delphi.
