Job DescriptionThe Sales Manager for Russia and CIS is responsible for executing strategic sales plan to maximize revenue and market share from the Russia and CIS markets. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with key travel partners, tour operators, and corporate clients in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented professional with a deep understanding of the Russian and CIS travel markets, luxury hospitality, and sales strategies with fluency in Russian language.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Represent the resort at international trade shows, roadshows, and key industry events in Russia and CIS.Be aware about sales team goals and performance (segment, markets.) and assist to revenue meetingContinually review the actual production of each account against the potential for that account, and review suggestions for improvement with department leadership.Focus on assertively establishing new client contacts and developing detailed information on the potential revenues from these accounts.Assist DOSM in preparing rates, budget and comp set analysis.Achieve personal financial and non-financial performance objectives, working with department leadership to ensure these objectives are met.Take responsibility for your own professional development, ensuring that you have the financial literacy, negotiation and face-to-face selling skills needed to successfully do your job.Maintain accurate management status reporting on business results, and Team Member action planning.Practice effective cost control and adhere to internal procedures for approval of expenditureActively participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections, sales trips and roadshows as required to meet the sales targets of the hotel.Liaise effectively with all operational colleagues, providing support and information to ensure accurate delivery of our promise.Maintain a full working knowledge of the IT support tools used in the world of sales today, including sales-specific software, property PMS, the Microsoft Office toolsetEnsure that all administration is processed quickly and efficiently.Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.Conduct market research to stay informed about the latest travel and tourism developments in the assigned region.Actively seek out and cultivate relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) planners, and corporate clients.Maintain and grow a strong network of key accounts to secure business and repeat bookings.Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to the Director of Sales & Marketing.Serve as the primary brand ambassador for Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas in the Russia and CIS markets.Ensure all sales and marketing activities are in line with the Anantara brand standards and company values.Work with the resort's marketing team to develop and localize marketing materials for the Russian and CIS audiences.Effectively communicate with all internal departments, including Front Office, Reservations, and Operations, to ensure seamless guest experiences for Russian and CIS guests.Provide market insights and feedback to the leadership team to help shape resort-wide strategies.QualificationsProven experience in a sales manager role within the luxury hospitality or travel industryDemonstrated expertise in the Russia and CIS travel markets, with a strong network of contacts.Fluent in both Russian and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently, travel extensively, and manage multiple priorities.Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
