Summary The Plant Sales Manager is responsible for the strategic and profitable management of the plant's sales department. This leadership role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the plant's sales force, developing and executing sales strategies, and ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded. The manager serves as a key advisor to the Plant General Manager on all marketing and sales activities and participation in daily and Sales and Operations Planning.\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n\nStrategic Planning: Collaborative with the General Manager to develop and manage the plant's marketing and sales objectives.\nSales Execution: Develop and implement effective sales plans to ensure our products are available in the right locations, in sufficient quantities, and to the right markets to achieve sales and market share goals.\nTeam Leadership: Foster a \"We are Fun and Easy to do Business With\" mindset within Sales department, promoting a positive and client-focused culture.\nTraining & Development: Plan, coordinate, and lead comprehensive in-plant and in-field sales training for our distribution network.\nMarket Analysis: Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends within the market.\nBudget Managment: Maintain tight cost controls to ensure the sales department operates efficiently and effectively within its allocated budget.\nPromotional Activities: Plan and promote participation in regional trade shows and local factory events as needed.\n\n

Supervisory Responsibilities \n

This role has direct supervisory authority over the plant's sales department employees. Responsibilities include: \n\nFull-cycle talent management, including interviewing, hiring, and training new employees.\nPerformance management, including planning and directing work, appraising performance, and providing feedback.\nEmployee relations, including addressing complaints and resolving issues in accordance with Corporate policies and applicable laws.\n\n

Qualifications \n\nExperience: Prior Supervisory experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment, it desired. Previous Sales experience in manufactured or modular housing is significant asset.\nTechnical Skills: Must have a working as well as familiarity with CRM such as Sales Force knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.\nTravel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.\n\n
